Family Concert To Benefit Save the Lakes You can help or just enjoy A Family Concert featuring Dog on Fleas and Amadou Diallo will be held on Sunday, October 25 at the Rosendale Community Center from 2:00-4:00 to benefit Save The Lakes. Arts and crafts, face-painting and refreshments will be on tap as well. Dog on Fleas has been recording and performing music for children for 10 years. Their 5 critically acclaimed CDs are among the best children’s music available. Kids and adults both like to dance and sing to this invigorating band. Amadou Diallo will perform African Rhythm and Song. Amadou is a Master Drummer who has performed with many groups in both Africa and the US. As a native of Senegal, Amadou integrates authentic costumes and cultural experiences into his musical performances. This infectious, joyful performance is not to be missed. If good weather, the show will be outside, otherwise in the Community Center. The cost is $5 for children 12 and under and $10 for adults. The concert is a benefit for Save the Lakes. STL works to protect the natural resources included in the Williams Lake property and researches information for the public and area decision-makers. You can help! Many of you have asked how you can help STL. Here's your chance. We need: Donations of food items to be sold at the concert. Contact Lisa Resnick (aristar94@yahoo.com) to find out what's needed, suggest something you can bring, or volunteer to staff the food tables. People to set up or clean up afterward, sell tickets, etc. Contact Mark Morganstern (dorsey1156@yahoo.com). People to post flyers for the concert, share with friends, bring to schools etc!
